So I recently removed the gaudy labels on my headstock... read "G&L Tribute Series M-2000 BASS". Way too many words for me... Looked ridiculous IMO because I KNOW it's a bass. I'm completely aware of that fact and don't need it emblazoned on the headstock to remind me. I just want a classy "G&L" logo but I don't know how to go about doing this. Have done plenty of mods but lettering is not one of them. At first I thought that waterslide was the way to go but the headstock is a satin finish and the decal is glossy so it looked really obvious and not that professional. Should I spray some kind of matte fixative over it once applied? I've also been considering transfer decals as an option but am trying to figure out whether I should be looking for wet or dry transfer and if this yields better results than waterslide. I've looked through the threads and a lot of the transfer decal companies have minimum orders. Can anyone point me in the right direction?... I just want a professional-looking G&L logo right in the middle of the headstock. Thanks in advance!
