Good Day! I have a problem with a 13 year old Desert Gold HSP 5 string bongo bass that I bought from a friend of mine...this bass has a serial # F08343.I've been using the bass for over a year and i've had no problem with it..and one time when I was practicing for some songs with my Marshall MB15 bass amplifier, i noticed that the signal started sounding a little odd like it was fading so I decided to stop my practice and checked the batteries and the output jack because maybe its loose, eventually the sound came back and decided to call it a day. Then the next day when i plugged it in, the bass wont sound anymore even when i put a fresh new batteries and replaced the old output jack. I thought first it was the old switchcraft jack that i've replaced, because when i tried to push the guitar cable in the old output jack and pluck the string, it seemed to respond but very shortly and the sound goes off again when i release the guitar cable, and when i finally able to replace it into a new switchcraft output jack, it still had no sound at all.
.I dont know what might be wrong but i think there is something wrong with the onboard active preamp? please help me on this because this is so frustrating to me, i love my bongo bass and having this bass is like a dream come true, but when this happened i don't know what to do.
i checked the electronics hardware compartment and decided to show some screenshots
