Apologies if this has been addressed already, I have some questions regarding the particulars of the setup I have in mind:
I have a Peavey Firebass 700 amp and Peavey 1516 cabinet, and a Peavey XR600 PA head.
This is the signal path I'm thinking about trying:
Guitar>Pedals>Firebass INST IN
>>>
LOW XOut>FB700 Power Amp IN (and then running a speaker cable from speaker out > LOW IN on the 1516)
And
HIGH XOUT>XR600 PWR AMP IN>Speaker Out>High In (1516)
On paper, I think this would work, but I want to know if I'm going to fry anything by doing it this way.
I also have a few questions regarding particulars-
1. Does the cable from the Xover outs need to be speaker cable?
2. The 1516 has a crossover in it, what does that mean for amp settings? Do I just match the Xover frequency knob on the FB700 to the crossover frequency on the back of the 1516 cabinet?
3. If the LOW Xout is going to the FB700's PWR IN, does that mean that the front EQ controls are only affecting the signal below the crossover cutoff, with everything above that cutoff being sent to the XR600?
