Look, I really like the tone of that P in these videos

I'm going to assume its your usual vintage P pickup
but these strings are an important part of the recipe aswell I feel

they definitely have this red/orange hue to the silk, TIs look more red to me
can anyone let me know for sure if those are TI?
Labella? what else?

Thanks so much!

Looking at the silk color and how the winding lengths (ball end to silk) are (shorter E at 37" with the other three the same at 38"), my guess would be the La Bella DTF 760FX or FL.

The FX (39-96) used to come with the orange-ish red silk but the new ones come with green silk now.
The FL (43-104) have always had red silk but the red is usually a little darker than what's in the pic.

Yh I’m on the quest to get that tone and I’m thinking the fender originals and TIs should do the job.
I could get close using model P and chromes equipped MIJ 70s reissue, but I’d like to try and make it more authentic. ( the model P is hotter and has that ceramic imprint - not exactly vintage)
The big part of the honk is the b15 and cab/mic though
But that bass sounds just perfect to me and I’m positive those pickups are fender made, they always sound mid focused - no booming low end and no sterile highs, like all the duncans and dimarzio

They look the same as the ones on my P Bass, TI Jazz JF344's Flats. As for the tone I can get that exact tone using the Ampeg B15 on Amplitube which has its advantages seeing as the B-15 has no DI.
awesome. if you could send me any DI tracks I'd be super grateful!

yh thanks guys, so far it looks like those are TIs, the only strings with the offset silk on the E string.

also, the dude from the video said that those flatwounds are new.
