New album is FINALLY almost here - KC Roberts & the Live Revolution

My band's new record took more than three years to complete, with plenty of covid disruptions, band personnel shifts, learning to do better home recording, etc. etc. It sounds *so* great and I'm really proud of it. I can't share much yet, but I hope this tiny clip of our first single/video, Rosa, gets some of you a little excited.

Best part about recording at home? All the time in the world to use lots of basses and other gear. It was a fun and frustrating learning experience. Happy to share more about my process if anyone's interested. As for the clip below, the bass was an EBMM Stingray 5 (played with a pick) DI into a Chandler Microphone Cassette.

That sounds GREAT! I mean, like, '70s pop/R&B great! It's a beautiful-sounding production, and I love the Super 8 home movie-style footage.
Thanks for checking it out, FilterFunk! The album is called "Grit" which has a lot of different meanings for us, one of which is we deliberately went for that gritty, grimy 70s thing. I'm so glad you like it - I seriously can't wait to share more.

As for the video...it's gonna be beautiful. It'll be out on May 13.
