New amp/new bass day

i just got settled in to my new Fretless 4003 Rickenbacker (its been modified by a previous owner to look like a 4000 with just 1 pickup in the bridge position) and a new PJB Double 4 +. The two sound amazing together. I seem to be able to find all the sounds I am looking for pretty much with the EQ set flat on the amp. And the double 4 is more than sufficient to play along with 2 or 3 acoustic guitarists in an impromptu jam session…exactly what I was looking for!
Amazing bass
Fantastic little amp.
FWIW, I packed the double 4 inside my Osprey rollaround checked bag from Seattle to Medellin and it arrived in perfect order!!! I may have the only PJB in Colombia!

Nice score!
If you'd ever think of putting the 4003 back, I recommend you to put a Toaster in the neck position, and install the vintage switch to the bridge volume pot. This way you've got a Rickenbacker ON FIRE, and you can get 4000, 4001, and 4003 tones from it.

Here are some slightly better pics of my new PJB double 4+ and my new (old) 2008 Ric 4003 factory fretless which has been converted to a single pickup. It looks like a 4000 fretless…but rest assured, it has the ric-o-sound stereo jack!
