Anyone know if there is any difference - apart from the graphics - between the older style 'Basslines' SPB-3's, and the newer ones that just say 'Seymour Duncan'? (Am I right in thinking these are the same?)
the whole "basslines" separation made no sense from a marketing standpoint; not even that it seemed "cheap" or anything, but nobody understood what it meant!
"so what kind of duncans did you get for your bass"?
"basslines"
"er, yeah, but what kind?"
"huh?"
all it ever did was confuse the buyers, who just wanted duncan bass pickups.
Sometimes a name precedes itself, and I never heard of Bass Lines products.
I can remember seeing "GK" products at Sam Ash and thinking that it must be generic junk, but all the while I thought Gallien-Krueger was a good brand.
