Double Bass New bass: Thompson RM100

I got this a couple weeks ago, but hadn't gotten around to posting anything yet. Now that I've gotten to use it on a few gigs, I can give a full report. It's a winner. It sounds full and balanced, plays well, and Steve at String Emporium was great to deal with. I do a lot of higher volume gigs and despite being much more resonant than my old bass, no feedback issues (outside of normal upright parameters). Bass nerd details are as follows: Flexocore deluxe strings, Upton Revolution Solo pickup, Gollihur pickup jack mount and leather side bumpers.

Here's an example (older video with the old bass), it's mostly rock with a lot of other "flavors". About 50/50 original and covers depending on the show.
