New Bruno Mars Song - 24K Magic

He's really immersed in the classic funk styles of bands like the BarKays and Zapp & Roger now.

We'll be hearing this one a lot. I play in a 6-piece funk/dance cover band with two keys players, we do a lot of old school funk and use vocoders and talkboxes, but I don't think we're going to be able to pull this one off. Very high production standard there.

That's Mr. Talkbox on the Zapp style vocals. He's making a name for himself as the new Roger. The song itself is pretty damn funky and lends itself to the old school style of funk which, in my opinion, should have never stopped being played on the radio! The song will be a hit and folks will wonder why! Disco and Funk never went out of style. It was abandoned, ignored and disrespected!

Wake me when we're past the pastiche and rehashing of what was done better thirty+ years ago - without the bitch references. Yawn.
Oh yeah, I forgot, there's a ton a music experts here who deem what's good and what isn't and when and how music should be presented. By the way, your band's 'POP' music is pretty decent. Let me know when y'all chart!

P.S. There's a clean radio version if you prefer.

Well yeah, we all have our musical tastes. I think your musical taste is generally very good as a matter of fact.

Speaking of Mr. TalkBox (not that I am a fan but it's okay in this song) I really like this dance song by Toby Mac that is all over the radio since last year. I hear it almost everyday.
