I have a pair of Behringer Bass cabs, the original paper cone versions that I have had since late 2005. I had picked them up when my rig had been stolen from my van. I had the 2x10 and 1x15 and have been using them the majority of the time, I have had some other cabs that I would use for a while but then find myself coming back to the Behringer cabs. I have never had any problems with them with any amp I have used with them (Behringer EP1500 bridged, Crown XLS1000 Drivecore bridged, and the Begera Veyron M) no failures or "farting out" and they have easily handled any gig I have had.

Sometimes I would use both, sometimes I would just use the 1x15, but lately I have been using the 2x10 turned on its side. I had been thinking it would be neat if I added feet to the side of the 2x10 so it would sit better, and also that I might like to find another matching 2x10 to try stacking them.

Yesterday I was out running around and I remembered hearing a rumor about a pawnshop in my dads area that was closing (actually not closing, has been bought by another pawn shop chain) and I remembered that that shop had a matching 2x10 before so I swung by to see if it was still there and it was. They had it priced at $189 but it was right place right time for me and had it out the door for $100.

As it turns out the previous owner modified the cab a little, by removing the Behringer and Bugera badges from the grill. And installing extra feet on the side so it could be turned vertically! Today I pulled both cabs out and between bouts of rain, removed the bottom feet from the new cab and installed them on the side of my older cab. I also had to remove part of the carry handles on the sides so they would stack. But now I have a vertical 4x10 stack.

I also checked the date codes and serial numbers and it looks like both cabs were made the same month in the same production batch. I'm looking forward to the next gig to run the stack. Need to do something with that plain black baffle in the "new" cab.
