Double Bass New chordless quartet record

Hey there, the pre release for my new record, A Bee in the Drum, is up today. Although it’s a bit of a departure in terms of instrumentation and process, it is still very connected compositionally to my last record. I’m joined here by some of the finest creative improvisers that I know and I’m very excited to get this one out into the world. I hope you check it out!

I’m proud of this record and it features some really fantastic players. Tim Haldeman (Mike Reed’s People, Places, and Things; Greg Ward & 10 Tongues) on Tenor; Dan Bennett (Colin Stetson, Nomo) on Tenor, Soprano, and Clarinet; Jonathan Barahal Taylor (Saajtak, Teiku) on drums; and Kenji Lee (Fortune Teller Trio) on Tenor. These guys are all beautiful players and I’m profoundly grateful to get to make music with them. I hope you give it a listen and maybe dig deeper and check these cats out.
