Spector Bass Launches New Electric Bass Series, Bantam 4

Pretty excited about that until I read the price $1,799.99 USD...

I have just emailed Spector asking them if they are considering a more affordable "Legend" version of that bass.

Yeah, i was pretty excited too. Well there cheaper than The old Gary Tallent version. But still steep. Would Have like to see Aguilar Pups or different preamp for that kind of money. Some hipshot tuners. Inlays on the fretboard. Some options.

I heard back from Spector USA about possibly a Bantam 4 Asian version:

hello
Yes you can share my below info with them, but there is not an Asian version Bantam story yet. we need to first successfully launch our Czech Bantam which has only just begun. as I mentioned we will get to an Asian made Bantam when possible in the near future. for now this is our more modestly priced short scale bass :)

tks,

A quality short scale bass, at a more modest price point, could be a game changer. Also, most short scale basses offerings are actually based on "vintage" models from the 50's or 60's.
