I just got all the parts and pieces together to build my first stack after using combos for 20 years. A Mesa Subway D-800+, Mesa Subway 15" cab, and Trace Elliot 2x8 cab. Both cabs are rated at 8 ohms and 400 watts, head is able to go down to 2 ohm, but will put out 800 at 4 ohm. My question is just to make sure I don't muck things up.
The Mesa head has two speakon connections on the back. Would I get a 4 ohm load sending one out to the Trace cab and the other out to the Mesa cab, or should I use 1 out on the head to the Trace cab, then use the parallel outs to chain the Mesa cab in to get 4 ohm? Any help would be appreciated!
