OMG.. just put a set of Optima Unique 24K Gold strings on my Special Edition Wenge Neck Spector NS4 #710, and I am amazed. I've been a fan of the DR Coated and the Rotosound Nexus Coated for many years. And I kept seeing these Optima Strings advertised. I was reluctant to pull the trigger on the added cost. Albeit only about twice the price. (But hey it's only money)
But boy was I an idiot waiting all this time over a few bucks. The Optima Unique 24 K strings are amazing. Clear roots and such ringing harmonics. And smoother to the touch than either the DRs or the Rotos. And supposed to have the longevity too.
I am now in love with them. And I've ordered another set to put onto my Curly Maple NS4 Spector #440 too. Couldn't be happier. Believe me, don't keep putting off trying them over a few bucks difference.
