New or old? 50's Vibe Squier or 70's Univox Naked P?

Just looking for opinions from anyone who's played or owned one or both of these.
My birthday is coming up, and I have my eye on two low priced used basses, both in good shape, just for fun and something new.
I've read good about both, just looking for a bit more info or opinions on both models. Opinions on sound, feel, weight?
The Squier is a 50's vibe, butterscotch finish, nearly mint.
The Univox is what I believe is called a naked P, from the late 60's /early 70's with a rosewood fretboard. All original except missing the bridge cover.
I love vintage basses (especially ones I can afford), but I love the look of the 50's vibe.
Just fishing for any help.
Thanks as always!

Be prepared for single coil hum if you get the 50s P. The pickup in the 50s is ok, tho I replaced mine.

The tone of the splitcoil is going to be thicker in the mids.

I like the 50s but as stated earlier, you can find them all day long.

Playing both of them will tell the tale obviously. If the Univox feels right I'd go for it, unless you really prefer the singlecoil tone.

I bought a new white blonde CV50P on this April, nice build quality, great fret job, rock steady tuning machine, sweet tone stock pickup with stock string, thiner neck profile compare to fender RW pbass....... but she weight 9.5lbs.
I sold it on this September, nothing wrong with it actually, just my CV60p still give me better tone and better comfort playing feel.
