New range of Classic Vibe basses...? (2019)

Forgive me if this question has already been discussed but, I’ve fleetingly seen a comment as to whether the new Squier Classic Vibe range of basses are, in fact, re-badged VM instruments. I owned a Classic Vibe precision from the original run from around 2009-10 and it was a superb bass in all aspects.
I am yet to see these new basses at my local store but, if this comment had any truth in it, I may not bother.

Yes, the new range of CV series 2019 from Indonesia.
For me, it is rebranding VM series which I found lot of similar between VM and new CV compare to Pre china CV.

I found the new CV60J stock pickups less impressive compare to VM70/77j pickups.
The new CV pup are dry and duller sound compare to Pre china CV60J which pretty close to PV64 pickup sound (less output and less warmth but same sweet tone).

The Indian Lauren fretboard look like cheap dry wood compare to Pre china CV60J dark rosewood. To me, both Lauren(on squier) and jotoba(on new Ibanez bass) fretboard make the bass look cheaper.
If FMIC ask the OEM factory coat the Lauren board which look like dark rosewood, I believe all CV fans include me will happy and satisfied even made from Indonesia. I believe that's must be a production cost issue for FMIC.

The only one new 2019 CV bass I will buy are the sexy look CV70J in natural body (sadly my local GC has no stock while I try the Daphne blue CV60J along with VM70/77J ).

I love thin vintage fret, the Am Pro tall fret are pretty comfort fretting, but the tall thin fret on new CV bass are different, it just like Ibanez SR300E fret but little taller.

The price are a little lower than Pre china CV, atleast this is a good news. Overall pretty similar build quality like VM series with no suprice.

Above are my personal real life experience and finally I check out with growl and juicy tone VM77J. If you are Pre china CV owner, once you try the new CV bass, you will find out the different.
