I just bought a Thompson plywood bass, It is perfect in every way. I'm waiting for my Krivo pickup and side bumpers. Anyhoo, The strings are nice. The bass hasn't been played much at all since it was purchased new 3 years ago, so I imagine these are the original strings. Can anyone tell me who made them? Thanks

Evah Pirazzi.
If a single solid colour at the top, Medium, if there is a narrow band of a different colour, they are lights.

There is a small different color silk at the beginning of the wrap, Thank you. Light makes sense as they are easy to thump on.

According to Gollihur, they won't work with the Krivo. I have ordered a set of Jargar Dolces. They will sound great amplified, but the Evahs make this bass sound like I spent a million dollars on it.

Since I play amplified almost exclusively, I'll have to sign up as a contributing member and sell the Evahs (virtually unplayed) to someone who ca use them.

I’m friends with Jason at Krivo, I’m featured on his website and promo materials, and he even sold me a replacement at cost at one point. I really dig the product. This being said, I wouldn’t change a string set that I loved to use a magnetic pickup unless I was having persistent feedback issues or wanted that magnetic pickup sound specifically. Any reason you didn’t want a piezo?

Played around withe piezos for a while. I play in a fairly loud jump blues band and feedback becomes such a problem. I have an Ampeg stack which can do loud well, and an ancient Fender BXR300C that can do a medium sized bar and with it, My bass actually sounds like a bass. On my old bass, I have a wireless hidden behing the fingerboard and am often told that my bass would be even better if I amplified it. LOL
