Hey guys! Was looking to post here because the new Vintera II series of P basses have really caught my attention as of late, but I dont have any stores close enough with one for me to try. So then comes the question, for those who have been able to try the new Vinteras. How do they compare to other Fender P basses? Especially the one that are MIJ, because for a few hundred more I could pick up a 50s style MIJ P. Some guys on here talk about them with such high praise. Would they be worth saving up the extra money for? Because I mean I probably won't be able to travel to play those MIJ's either before I buy. Thanks for reading!

I own a Vintera 50s P V1 and been try the MIJ Traditional 50s P myself .
Traditional 50s P has nice sunburst body and quite white maple fretboard bass neck. She lighter than my 3.7kg Vintera 50s P.

Compare to my previous MIM PLayer P, Traditional 50s P has better build especially factory fret work and thicker profile C neck. The stock ceramic pickups sound quite nice, not hot and no harsh.

But, the truss rod adjustment located at neck heel site are not everyone preference. If you want truss rod adjustment on headstock, Hybrid are the option along with narrow nut width.

If you wanna vintage correct P with affordable price, you can't go wrong with Vintera P. Especially the Tim Shaw wound pickups, great mix with Ti flat.

Off topic.
My China made Squeir Classic vibe matt freeman are not for behind to Vintera 50s P, i love the neck profile and build quality. I mod it became PJ bass and EB cobalt flat loaded for modern tone.
