Probably not a name familiar to most, unless you’re of a certain age and/or familiar with the Paul Butterfield legacy, and he seemed to prefer to work behind the scenes, but what a lot of influential work he did in the 60’s and 70’s, singing, playing, writing, and producing…

Thanks for the clips. I remember him from the Butterfield band, followed by the Electric Flag (Butterfield was said to be hard to work wih. )

Just for writing Born In Chicago a song that became a blues standard is quite a legacy. Some of the first albums I bought as a kid were the Electric flag albums and the first Butter LP.

Still have the first Electric Flag on vinyl. Don't play it often nowadays but liked it an awful lot in my much younger years.
