I've gotten myself into a specific musical mood and I'd like some recommendations.

What song(s) or band(s) come to mind when I say the phrase "noisy riffs?"

Bands that have been scratching the itch include Death From Above 1979, Royal Blood, Turbowolf, '68, White Zombie, WHORES., Indian Handcrafts, even songs by Rage Against the Machine qualify.

That's a DAVID Curran not Dave Curran.

I'd love to know what kind of grindy/gravelly distortions or fuzzes that band Baratro is using, because I love that sound.

I'm not sure if he's using the same setup he used in Unsane but i imagine it's not that far off. P bass, Svt head, 8x10 cab and an old Rat.

exhalants is hitting the most out of these three but I'm digging the other two as well. I like the approach Facet takes as a 3-piece with the bass holding it down with all the riffs and the guitar adding all the noisy texture on top. And Kowloon is different, but I'm finding stuff that fits.
