I had tried one compressor and loved it right up until I didn’t, and had done without for some time. I had occasionally thought to look into it again, but jillions of options and 200-page threads put me off searching. Then this one turned up in my reverb feed—pretty sure because I have a search for “Cthulhu” saved—with proceeds going to a charity I could support, and it just seemed like the right move. I don’t know if, technically speaking, it does anything those jillions of others don’t; but I find it easy to dial in, and it makes me happy every time I look at it.
