I've just bought a Nux Mighty Plug MP2 for practicing at home late at night while my kid is sleeping and... it's just great! It's like an Amplug on steroids.
I open this thread as a suggestion for other night-time bassists.
You plug it into your bass and you are ready to go as with the Amplug.
In case you want to play over some music you grab your smartphone and you can play over whatever app you might preferer: Spotify, Youtube, ....
It gives you some drums preset but you can use a drum machine on your mobile if you want.
It provides some amp and cab sims and effects for some added spiciness. Yes, it is mainly marketed towards guitarists but unlike the new FenderMustangMicro it has his fair shares of effects for bass.
It can be used as a simple PC audio interface via USB.

P.s. I really wish Darkglass could come out with something like this mainly for bassists. The Element looks nice but it's 4 times the prices and it's more powerful but less practical than this cool little item.
