Nylon tape or fat flats for a medium scale Hoyer!

Hey bassers,

i have a very precise question. I'm about to get my second short scale, this time an old Hoyer Club bass. These are old german sorta high end instruments. This one is a full hollowbody and it has a big gap between the bridge and the tailpiece. My problem is i would love to put a set of nylon wound on it but i can only find long scales out there. I don't know if any of you has experience with this? The length from the nut to the tailpiece should be around 32 or so.
Do you know of any kind of nylon wrapped medium scale strings that come in .50 or so? Or shall i go directly with long scale and pray they won't break on the tuning post?

Any feedback is highly appreciated! ;)

There's gotta be a European retailer than can do something for you. And if not, even though it'll be expensive to buy from the US, at least it should only be a one time purchase. Tapewounds last forever.

Thanks a lot guys!
AshIn Amsterdam, thanks a lot for the tipp, sadly the d'addarios are very modern sounding for my taste but good to know they make medium and available in Asterdam!
I ended up getting some nylon wounds by Pyramid. Super nice sound and feel, not mega expensive and perfectly fitting to the medium scale basses. Sadly it was not the specific sound i was looking for the Hoyer, so i guess i'll have to spend another 40€ on the regular flats from Pyramids, which are a bit thin but they do sound hyper vintage even with no damper on the bridge!
