so to continue the off topic discussion from the previous EBMM thread, I have a 1993 SR5. So I have a Ceramic Pickup? That must explain whay when I compare it to other similar vintage SR4's it has a slightly smoother top end. But it still has the identifiable fretless ray sound (a la Paladino)

Got my order into the factory yesterday for this baby. Carbon Blue Pearl, which as of the end of business hours today becomes a discontinued colour.

This photo (above and second from the bottom) are courtesy of The Perfect Bass. I would have bought from them, but EBMM's dealer policy prohibits them from shipping to Canada. So I ordered it from my local dealer instead. Just have to wait 5 - 6 mths for it to arrive.

In the meantime i'll continue to use my Rolls Burgundy Sterling 5 H, my White Stingray 5 H and now my Sterling 5 HH LE.

:( That's sad. We have a Carbon Blue Bongo HS in the store right now and we all love the colour.

Here's my Pacific Blue 2001 SR5 (ceramic pickup).

It has just been mercifully pulled off the road after 7 years of hard and constant gigging. Why? It has started getting a few dents and scratches (roadies are a double edged sword I tell ya, and don't get me started on baggage handlers at airports), and I love it too much to see it suffer like that. It can now have a restful retirement holding pride of place on a display wall in my house.

i dont know the carbon blue pearl is my least favorite EBMM color. It's just so... businesslike. I guess it reminds me of some computer manufacturer.
I think the pacific Blue and the ever popular blue dawn fade (bring it back.. please?) are better fromy tastes.
Me, I am wondering why they don't do a trans black.
