Are welcome all the BB600 BB800 BB1200, BB1200S BB1200A BBPH and others

Yes there is a BB club, but for me and non only this BB is quite different from similar in tone, playability....and many of Hook's Basses are not Yamaha.

BB sixhundred is Hook remembering about his stolen bass probably an 800.BB1200S, i'm wrong

The stolen bass was likely a BB1200 (the bass in the Love Will Tear Us Apart music video), the BB1200S didn't come out until around 1982. He isn't ever seen with a BB800 until after the gear is stolen.

His bass chronology seems to be:
  • Gibson EB-0 copy (Peter's first bass, potentially used on the earliest Joy Division/Warsaw recordings)
  • Hondo II Rickenbacker copy (used on Unknown Pleasures, many Joy Division singles)
  • Yamaha BB1200 (used in the final days of Joy Division, the 4 string tracks on Closer)
  • Shergold Marathon 6 (same story as the BB1200 above, used for the 6 string Closer tracks obviously)
  • Yamaha BB800 (acquired after their gear was stolen to use as a replacement)
  • Yamaha BB1200 (purchased after returning from the first NY tour to be used for Movement)
  • A Fretless Peavey (unsure of the exact model, used for the slide bass parts on We All Stand and not much if anything else)
  • Gibson EB-2 with BB1200 electronics
  • Yamaha BB1200S (purchased sometime during the period between Power, Corruption & Lies and Low-Life most likely, debatable if it was used on PC&L but it definitely featured on Low-Life)
  • Eccleshall semi hollow custom with BB1200S electronics (He's had 4 of these made over the years, all of them differing in design though the core concept is always the same)
  • Music Man StingRay 5 (acquired sometime around the release of Technique based on its use on the Top of the Pops performance of Fine Time, but most of its use was for the Republic tour so Peter could play the sequenced bass live)
  • BBPH (used live for Peter Hook and the Light, currently most prominently featured on Aries by Gorillaz)

Those are the main and most important ones because that's what he recorded with and/or played with live. The semi-hollows were never used for recording but for the most part are what Peter played live for most of his career. The BB734A was used live with The Light for a brief period, and the Eastwood Hooky 6 PRO was used for the fall 2019 North American tour, and for obvious reasons it hasn't had a chance after that to be used much).

The history of his firs basses are told in an interview released recently during BBPH development. He probably confused 600 with 800. Or someone says that in some markets the numbers are differents.
