Ok to run IR Cab/Amp Sim Pedal into Preamp Pedal FX Loop?

Does anyone have any experience running an impulse cab/amp simulator pedal (such as a Shift Line A+ Cabzone LE -or- X, both of which are nowhere to be found at the moment) into the FX Loop of a preamp pedal (EBS Microbass 3, Radial Tonebone V2, etc)? I’ve scoured the internet for information on the matter and have come up relatively empty…

The Wetter Bass channel on YouTube did great job demonstrating the Shift Line A+ Cabzone LE and X. He does recommend a preamp pedal in front of the X to “fine tune” your sound...

Thanks in advance!

@Hypocrite - I had the idea last week when looking at the Cabzone LE and a preamp pedal. I was thinking I could use the preamp’s XLR out to send the IR of the LE to house since it lacks a DI output. I guess there’s no need to try that if I decide to go with the Cabzone X, which includes a power amp sim along with cab impulses. Problem is, the X is unavailable at the moment. Spoke with Shift Line, and as of now there’s no timeframe on when it will be back in stock.

FYI, Shift Line’s customer service is awesome! Have always got answers to my questions

Shame, I was hoping to get the X soon, I really like their free cabsims

Yeah, apparently there’s an issue with getting the necessary components together that is out of their hands. You can sign up to get updates on Shift Line’s website. The Olympic MkIIIS is still out of stock, too. Assuming they’re having the same issue there, but not sure. I’ve had GAS for both for quite some time. Just waited too long to pull the trigger, I guess. Recently I’ve searched for both in the wild and have come up empty.
