Okay ,okay I know, I know...Darkglass new release speculation thread!!!

Hey Guys,
I just can't help myself!:bassist::hyper:
So what will it be?
I'm really hoping it will be the mother...(or father I guess?) of all bass pedal pre's.
  • A mix of the Vintage Ultra/ B7K and A/O or something new and super duper?
  • EQ of course!
  • Speaker Sim? Although so far with Darklgass do you really need one?
  • Tuner or tuna (depending on your tastes of course!)
  • Compressor. Maybe a simplified Symmetry?
  • Presets? One or two nothing major.
  • Headphone input.
  • Aux in for practicing.

That would do it for me. :bassist:

C'mon Doug how 'bout a hint!;)

I would guess cabs OR a ultra pedal that is switchable between the VMT and B3K (similar to the M900 mictrotubes section)

A VMT/B3K Ultra combo pedal with EQ would be incredible, especially if you could stack the two. That's basically what I've cobbled together with those two pedals and a Radial Bassbone as my always-on sound. Take my money!

Well the cabs are coming, we've seen them and Doug has talked about it.

As far as pedals, Doug has said multiple times that he doesn't like making stuff like noise gates and stuff that there plenty of and that wouldn't be 'groundbreaking.' Not sure the exact words he used but something along those lines.

That being said, what I'd like to see is a good envelope filter (Moog LPF style) and maybe another Fuzz even though the duality is great and the oldest Fuzz pedal I still own. The only other thing I'd love to see and know DG would make it awesome is a synth pedal. I know there's a few out there but one given the DG treatment and style would be amazing.

EQs have been done to death, DG has taken care of plenty of drives, and I don't see them doing much modulation like Flangers and chorus'.

Other than pedals, it'd be cool to do some pickups (although with so many different types out now that'd be hard to settle on a lineup)
