Old Ampeg found in trash

My grandson found this in the trash. He brought it home hoping that we could work on it together.

I told him we certainly could 1966 Ampeg Rocket 2. This should be fun!

Looks like a great project for you both.
High voltage, and safety ground warning ...
Hope you resist the urge to shotgun replace all the parts as testing is always best to retain some of the truthiness of the design.
Some things like caps may need to be replaced when you test them. But restorers will gut the old caps and put new ones inside so they look authentic.

Also that speaker may be an alnico which means the magnet might need a recharge (regauss) to get it back to normal.
