One Weird Way To Fingerpick on Bass

I stumbled across this on the internets. It's a fake finger with an acrylic nail so you can play fingerstyle without having to use your real nails! Does anyone try this on bass guitar? What do you think?

If you're curious then no harm in giving it a try. However IMO it would not be suitable for bass. You would not have proper control over the notes you play. Plus, the majority of bassists keep their nails short...I assume for this specific reason.

Just my 2c worth...

I use my real nails, but my technique is different than this or any other bass player I have seen.

I would definitely try this if something happened to my nails.

People that play the Indian classical instrument called the sarod actually use fake nails quite often, and on their fretting hands.
