Hi everybody,
looking to go fretless soon, got an eye on a used Fender 60s Jazz Bass fretless MIJ from 2014/2015. Unfortunately, I couldn't find much information about it because it seems to be discontinued and when it was avaliable it was Japan only.
Anybody ever played one of those and can tell something about the quality and how they might relate to the Fender Jaco Fretless (Artist Signature, not CS)? I also couldn't find much information about the stock pickups, it only says "Vintage Style Single Coils". I'm going after the Jaco tone obviously (I know I won't come even close, but I'll try my best :D), you think I might have to change them? In my Road Worn Jazzy which I really love in tone and feel I changed the stock pickups to CS 60 which works really great together, not so sure about fretless though...Any opinions on that?
Appreciate your help!

I've not owned that MIJ fretless, but had a late 80's early 90's MIJ fretless and it was great. It was stolen in early 2000's in NYC. I've not played the Jaco fretless either as I have a Tony Franklin sig. Are you able to play it before buying? That should tell you all you need to know. For jaco tone I'm sure you know the recipe, bridge pickup soloed or little neck and play towards the bridge blah blah blah. I also have the cs60 in my '15 am jazz and dig them a lot. If you got the funds buy it and if it's not your cup of whiskey flip it for what you bought it for.
