Orange Micro Terror as headphone amp

Yes yes I know, plenty of topics discussing usage of the Micro Terror with bass. But not in one I found any information on how it fares as a headphone amp. That is, no cab. I heard this can break tubes in full tube amps, but this is a hybrid, would the same happen here?

The reason for my interest in it is that it is small, they are cheap on the used market, and I want something that I can use with effects from my pedalboard. Also it has aux with is absolutely critical for me

Yeah I know there are lots of great preamps and headphone amps out there, but often they are often shiny boutique things that cost a lot (not even mentioning the shipping costs to my central european ostblock dump) or often lack the aux or the option to use with effects.

Any kind of input is welcome, thanks

The Orange Micro Terror is a solid state amplifier with a tube preamp. You can operate solid state amplifiers safely without speaker load.
There are plenty of bass amps that meet your needs as well: no need to buy a guitar amp.

Does it need to be a hybrid?

How many watts output do you want/need?

New or used? Budget?

By the way, all amps work with pedals, as they are typically between your bass and the input of your amp. Most amps have an effects loop (In/Out) but they are at line level instead of instrument level.

Hybrid is preferable but not necessary if it is capable of producing dirty gritty tube-like sound

I have a quiet apartment, so wattage will most likely not be an issue

Budget is, well about the 130 EURO range since that is the price of new Micro Terror here. I have no issue with used gear - the giant tank of an amp in the practice room is a third-hand 2006 Warwick, but in the current situation used gear is difficult to procure here.
