P/J Wiring: 3 way toggle switch (P only, Both Series, Both Parallel)

Hi,
I got a J pickup installed in my G&L LB100 a few years ago to make it a P/J, I was on the road and to save time I got it wired V V and no tone pot (used the tone pot as a volume for the J pickup)... with the intention of somehow adding a tone control later on. I finally got around to adding a concentric pot last night to make it V V/T, but I'm not sure if that set up is what I'm looking for and I only ever use the J pickup and P pickup at full volume and I never use the J pickup soloed.

I would like to try Master Volume, Master Tone and have a 3 way toggle switch with:
1. P only
2. P/J in Parallel
3. P/J in series

Has anyone done this with a P/J? Anyone have any wiring diagrams?

If you had a blade style super switch, that is possible.
However, with standard 3-way toggle switches, your best bet is to just wire it up traditionally (N, N+B, B) and do the series/parallel via substituting a push/pull pot for the volume or tone pot.

Thanks for the reply,
Would one of those fit in a normal sized P Bass tone cavity (blade style super switch)? If so do you know of any diagrams that could help?

I'm sure one can be adapted for a P bass cavity. The Tony Franklin P bass has a 3-way blade.
As far as wiring diagrams, I don't know of one for this configuration. There are not a lot of diagrams online because the super 3 way switch is the rare one out there. Here's a switch and how it's configured. A little mapping and research can come up with a wiring that would work.
