...for little or no apparent cause.
Ever tried to remember "Roxy Music" and somehow "Style Council" keeps coming up? "A Flock of Seagulls" for "It's a Beautiful Day"? "UZEB" and "Fugazi"? Well, I have. OK, not the last one, it was just a made-up example for padding reasons... Post your own best brainfarts if you have 'em!

(In the meanwhile, some random wisecracking from a past version of Head East's Wikipedia entry, that made me chuckle: gotta love WP vandals sometimes!

In a street brawl with the band's arch rivals Go West, Head East drummer Steve Huston stabbed and killed Go West member Richard Drummie. Following the brawl a truce was called between the two bands, and a collaboration album was planned. This ablum was never released however, as the ghost of Richard Drummie haunted the studio during recording sessions and the audio equipment only picked up static.:D)

I once argued for 30 minutes with my girlfriend and it turned out I had been talking about Bob Seger and she had been talking about Pete Seeger the whole time and we actually agreed with each other about both of them.

When I was in my 20s I had two friends/musicians that I worked with, guitarist Richard Stevens and drummer Steven Richards.

Always wanted to put the two of them in the same band!

And then add Steve Stevens. And Richie Rich

Not quite the question but...

I do occasional sports play by play for the radio station I work at. Last year, while doing the regional basketball tournament, the point guard's name in a game was Gage Hughes. I had been listening to a lot of Deep Purple at that time, and I called the guy Glen Hughes every time I had to say his name. Embarrassing. I'm sure those listening were thinking "Who the Hell is Glen Hughes?"

Imagine my confusion in the late 90's when some younger-than-me friends were talking about "Becks" new CD...

OH, the "I'm a loser baby, so why don't you kill me" hipster white rap guy, not JEFF BECK. As a side note, he goes by "Beck" (his first name) because his last name is Hanson. :D
