I used to use a Pandora to practice with tenish years ago before taking some serious time off of playing. At some point between then and now it went missing, so I went to replace it and had some difficulty in finding one.

So, my question is this. Are there any new items with basically the same bag of tricks?

Musts are: ultra portable (front pocket of a backpack), headphone out, aux in, and metronome, and it has to be able to be useful without meaningful access to a computer for extended periods while traveling, so aux in>saved MP3s.

Bonuses would be: a set of basic effects, pitch shifting, or even the ability to power a very small cab or send a DI out.

The budget is pretty flexible for anything that ticks most of those boxes.

I bought a Zoom B1 Four when I wanted something almost exactly like what you're describing. It's maybe 5-6 inches on each side and roughly square. Built-in amp models, effects, tuner, drum machine tracks, aux in, headphone out, and is thin enough so it can fit in the front pocket of either of my gig bags. I'm pretty sure that one of the built-in rhythms for the drum machine is a standard metronome, but I wouldn't swear to it as I've never used that feature.

The amp models, effects, drum machine, etc... were all just extra features for me at the time as all I really wanted was a portable headphone amp with aux in instrument in for practice, but I've used those extra features pretty regularly when I do use it. FWIW, the other products I considered at the time were the Phil Jones Bighead and/or Bighead Pro and Ampeg Scrambler DI. Neither of those have a built-in metronome though.

Thanks, I will look into those!

Korg Pandoras are still being made, although the design has changed a bit.
PANDORA mini - PERSONAL MULTI EFFECT PROCESSOR | KORG (USA)
PANDORA stomp - STOMP MULTI EFFECT PROCESSOR/TUNER | KORG (USA)

You can also pick up the previous models on the used market.
I saw that, but when you start following links to the dealers they have on the Korg site and trying to purchase online, I just can't seem to find them. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I've clicked through on their site to all of their dealers and none of them have the Pandora. I don't tend to go used with tech stuff, but it's worth considering. Thanks.
