Here's a '60's bass you don't see every day.
In fact, I've never seen one ever and I'm no spring chicken.
Interesting bridge.

I've seen those before. Can't see the bridge clearly enough though. Definitely strange headstock.

Thanks for the heads-up Duder :)- yes, I became a Del Reyite after seeing/hearing one played at my local tavern. That night I went home and searched the net, found and bought this '65 ss beauty. (middle bass)- pretty much identical to the OP - yours has a metal "badge" on the hs and mine has a decal, but same pu's. I think someone added the 2 hs string retainers. Anyway, after that, I bought a mid 60's (stripped, like yours) mahogany body (could be a Silvertone - elbow bevel is different) and built it into the 34" scale Teiscobird (lower) and then made my own cloned body based on it for my similarly 34" scale TeiscoT45bird (top) ... I fell hard for the Del Rey (w/unknown flats) - it's loud, sounds great and is sooo much fun to play. It's well balanced, light and l-o-n-g, longer than a J! I plan to make more Teiscobirds soon (for sale!) ...and yes, rocker switches rule! :bassist: but.., finding that specific style is very not available. (trust me, I've looked)

Cool bass, I've seen those before, but they're pretty uncommon now. You might need to look for a thunderbird-sized gig bag if you plan to tote it around ;)

I got a new Gator GWE HSC that fits it perfectly -
