Last night in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park I was privileged once again to witness Dan "Lebo" Lebowitz's 3rd Annual Psychedelic Summer Solstice Jam in Golden Gate Park - which was fantastically delivered and filled with amazing songs, jams, performances and personalities.

One of my favorite moments and an unexpected one, was seeing Scott Thunes tear it up on bass alongside Lebo, Holly Bowling and Ezra Lipp on this Classic from the FZ canon:

Cool clip, thanks for posting. One of Frank's classics for sure. The horn and second drummer are sure shoved in the back, might as well be in the car park. Perhaps it was full. Great to see Scott playing.

Scott also played on Cinnamon Girl with Darby Gould (of late era Jefferson Starship) and Jeff Pehrson (Box Set and Furthur). It was in my opinion one of the bigger train wrecks of a mostly solid bunch of songs from 1969.

If you have read this far - I have a ton of videos featuring great bass paying at TedToob.com.

As for this 3rd Annual Surrealistic Summer Jam - the bass was ably handled by folks like Pete Sears, (of bands too numerous to name but include Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna, Zero, Rod Stewart and more), Steve Adams of ALO, Reed Mathis, Peter Albin and many others.

Many vids I capped can be viewed here:
