Peavey Milestone BXP

I just picked up one of these for $55. No output so it sold as parts.
Had broken wire at output jack, easy fix.
Was filthy, needed a good cleaning.

No serial number. Any help on when or where it was made?

And what is special about this model?

FYI, I also have a Milestone II. It was my first bass, what I learned on.

Thanks in advance

Milestone III.

Any serial numbers found on these refer to the part not the bass as a whole.

Launched in 1999. Coming out from Indonesia, short spell from China then back to Indonesia. Lack of TR adjustment wheel down at the neck pocket suggests your example is a Chinese build.

Your Milestone II would be a Korean build.

Special ?

Honest answer is there's nothing special about the Milestone III except the numbers produced.

Stores were flooded with them but the big numbers went to schools and youth groups. Offered with healthy discounts, container loads sold all across the world. I know at least 4 African fellas started playing on their school's Milestone III. One even returned after graduating to borrow it for a televised gospel show.
