PJ Wiring Mod Question

I'm pretty new to wiring & soldering but I can follow a diagram. I've done a few pickup changes on guitars in the past but this is my first time doing a pickup swap for a bass. I'm swapping out the stock pickups of my Sire U5 with the Dimarzio Relentless PJ set.

I was planning on just following the wiring diagram on the Dimarzio site, but I was curious if anyone has a PJ wiring config they swear by or something that I should consider. I've seen some basses with a series/parallel switch or push-pull which I think is pretty cool, but I wanted to see what you guys think.

Thanks in advance!

I wire my P/J basses with the traditional V-V-T wiring that a J-bass has. including the .033 tone cap instead of the P-bass typical .047 tone cap to retain more mid grind as I roll off the tone. I also add a .01 capacitor in-line from the J-pickup to its volume control to eliminate the volume drop from impedance drop that happens when both pickups are dimed.

Sweet thanks, those are some good tips
