Please Clarify what I have!

I have a white king bass that i am restoring but the deeper I dig,the more questions I have.Perhaps you can help. The tag inside shows the number 234 but is not in pencil but is stamped. I do not think there is an additional digit but i am not sure due to a glue spot. The tag at the top says Patent applied for. The body length is 43 3/4 inches, upper bout is 18 3/4 inches wide and the lower bout is 24 3/4 inches wide ,both are 8 inches where they met the sides. It has the White/King marked on the back.Does this match anything you know of ?

Sounds like a 1935 Mortone. You can see the label and other shots of my bass in the thread I started when I was in your position.
