-Bought yesterday a very nice condition Fender "VT Bassman 15 cabinet with the diagonal mounted 15" speakers.
-I gigged with it last night, and very much like its sound.
-Am very sure the original speakers are in it.
-Pulled one of the speakers this morning and was hoping to date the driver from the code on it, but no such luck.
-Looks like a CTS 15" speaker to me, and both have the Fender stickers on the back.
-Code on one speaker as follows- 026383-000 and 328511
-Serial number of the cabinet is 180xx.
-I will try to attach a couple of pics to this to maybe help.
-Trying to get the approx build date.
-Thanks to all that can help.

Well, having the day off, and being extremely tenacious, I have found some info on this Fender VT Bassman 15"cabinet.
Looks like the speakers are manufactured by Utah, and date code out to 1975.
Paid $100 for the cab, and the speakers are healthy, so I believe I got a very good deal.
I have three JBL k140 speakers in my collection, and when it cools off in September, I might get the motivation to pop a couple of JBL's into this cab.
I will say, that when I played through this cab, last night, with the original Utah drivers, I was astounded with the sound and clarity. I drove it with a TCElectric RH450.
Looks like my ported single JBL k140 cabs may be history!!!!

Just walk up and say "I think you are amazing, and I am completely fascinated with you. Let's get together this weekend. We'll hit the beach and then go out for a bite. Sound good?"

Couldn't help myself. :D
