This is just curiosity on my end. Do you play flats exclusively, or maybe do you play rounds more than flats for whatever reason (a requirement for a band for example), but you are a flatwounder at heart?

I've been trying to split my playing time 50/50 between my P with flats and my J with Pressurewounds for the last few months since I acquired my P.

The only problem is I've been enjoying my new P with Sadowsky Flats so much lately it's more like 75/25 split now.

I have La Bella flats on my main bass, a short scale Gretsch, and rounds on my VM Jazz bass tuned DGCF. I also have a cheap p bass with rounds that I play once in a while. Basically if it needs to sound old school I go for my main, but for rock projects and such I go with the Jazz.

I'm here to revise my earlier post...

As of today, I'm back to 100% flats again. Just replaced the Pressurewounds on my J with a 3-mth-old set of La Bella 760FL.

Fender Jazz: Pyramid chrome/nickel
Fender Precision: D'Addario chromes
Rickenbacker 4001V63: Ernie Ball Cobalts

I'm really enjoying the D'Addario chromes, but am so tempted to replace them with the TI flats. I probably will eventually but I'll stick with these for the next few months. The Pyramid flats will never come off. As for the Cobalts ... best roundwound string I've played.
