Pot Values for Lace Sensors in a Bass VI?

I love my Squier VI, but I'm really not too fond of the electronics. After reviewing the somewhat limited options of what pickups will drop-in to a Jag routing, I determined that the Lace Emerald-RW Silver-Purple set would probably be ideal for what I'm finna tryta do.

Now here's the rub...the VI comes with overwound Duncan Designed pups and 1000k pots. I ususally keep the tone between 0-20% and the volume between 60-80%.

Lace recommends 250k pots for all of their sc-sized pickups, but they're talking guitars--I'm concerned about clarity and punch with the significantly lower register of my Bass VI + flatwounds.

My tentative plan is to run either a 330k or 500k volume pot and 250k tone pot. I'm still somewhat new to wiring Frankenstein creations, does this sound reasonable?

Don't use a 250k tone pot if you are worried about clarity. A 500k pot will take the capacitor out of the circuit when you turn it all the way up, but a 250k pot still allows some signal to pass through the capacitor.

In any case, people generally get overly fixated on pot values, when the effect is subtle. I wouldn't worry about this.
