The purpose behind this forum is to provide verified professional bass guitar luthiers a place to discuss topics of interest with each other. Pro Bench luthiers may choose to start new threads, or answer questions or topic requests from the TalkBass membership (see "Topic Requests" below).
- Only professionals may start threads. The pro who starts a thread can either give out info they'd like to share, request input from other pros, or both. Pros may also create threads to answer questions or respond to topics posted in the "Questions/Topics" sticky. If one pro has created a thread to respond to a question or topic, other pros should chime in on that existing thread rather than create a new one. To gain access as a pro bass guitar luthier, please start a conversation with @Joshua
- Non-pros may not post new threads in this forum, but may ask questions for clarification within existing threads, hopefully not taking the threads off topic. If a non-pro wants to solicit the advice of the pros here with a new topic or question, please post your question in the "Topic Requests" sticky thread in this same forum.
- Moderation: We hope that all will respect the purpose behind this forum, and refrain from arguing divisively - but rather stick to the more helpful format of discussion and exchanging ideas. Agree to disagree, etc.
