Questions on Squier Vintage Modified

Hi folks. I bought a 2012 Squier Vintage Modified IV for my schools jazz band a few years ago. I really like the way it plays. I LITERALLY preferred it over the American Standard I compared it to. I've found one for sale locally and am considering it. The serial of the one at school starts ICS12 (Indonesia, Cort, Special Run). The one for sale is IC 07XXXXX. Anybody know if the 2007 and 2012 models are comparable in quality? Also-does "Special Run" mean anything about the design or quality? Thanks!
