Quick! Help me brainstorm party songs :)

Well not THAT quick... we still have a couple of months to prepare but it looks like we probably have to play at our company party, and we discussed that our current repertoire might be generally a bit too varied as we've been rehearsing together quite casually and each person brought some wanted songs to play from different genres (do you know any other band that has Dido and Iron Maiden in the same setlist?). Since it's a company party, we think that our workmates expect music that they can either dance or at least sing along to.

We have identified 5-6 songs from our repertoire that should fit well, but we have half an hour to fill, so we need to add at least 2-3 more songs. I already have some in mind to propose to the rest of the band, and I am now looking for more suggestions.

Here are some criteria we are trying to follow:

- danceable or 'singalongable' songs
- rock, pop, funk, hard rock and similar mainstream genres (not jazz, country, folk or heavy) otherwise any era is suitable
- famous songs preferably, even if they are overused, in fact "party favourites" are totally ok
- no keyboards (should be playable by two guitarists, bassist, drummer)
- no huge background vocals (we have two singers, but otherwise the rest of us would rather not sing)
- the easier to learn the better, especially for me since this will be my first gig ever playing the bass!

Feel free to suggest as few or as many as you wish, I am counting on your great knowledge and wisdom :)

A few songs that a lot of musicians hate are actually loved by the public, and lack of having to actually sing the chorus yourself can be a strong indicator of how much partiers like them. Here's a few songs where I've been unable to hear myself during the chorus due to crowd participation. There's more, but these few have always been very reliable for me, and ironically most of them are pretty old.

Don't Stop Believing
Jenny, Jenny
Sweet Caroline
Margaritaville

Thanks for all suggestions, I have been checking them out on Spotify.

Please keep in mind we have no keyboard, much less a brass section.

A criteria I forgot to mention is that they should all be playable on a 4-string bass in E stardard, although Eb is negotiable, but for example drop D is not gonna happen.

You can play them in any key that’s workable. One thing not brought up…what is the age demographic of this potential crowd? Playing a lot of 60’s/70’s chestnuts may not go over well with a bunch of 30 to 40 year-olds.

Some variety of genre and period"

Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress
Fight for Your Right (Beastie Boys)
Girls Just Wanna Have Fun (Cyndi Lauper)
Man, I Feel Like a Woman (Shania Twain)
All The Small Things (Blink 182)
Summer of 69 (Bryan Adams)

I do all these (except the Cyndi Lauper) in a power-trio-plus-singer group and they all work. Sometimes you have to play with arrangements a little.

Way different what I usually listen to and play, but I have never seen this not go over well when dancing is involved (and not ultra-genre specific)

Toss in Blitzkrieg Bop and/or Beat on the Brat by the Ramones
