Recommend me a multi-FX unit

I typically prefer single pedals, and have not been playing multis much at all. However, from time to time I fly to gigs, and taking my board is just too much trouble. So, I have been compromising, and leaving parts of the stuff I normally use at home, and packed a few essential pedals in my bag. However, this solution is clearly sub-optimal, so I have been thinking about multis lately.

Perhaps the wisdom of the TB FX-forum can find me something usable for live situations, good-sounding, preferably relatively small, and not too expensive?

Here's what I use the most today:

- Tuner
- Compressor, always on (MXR M87)
- Overdrive and boost, used combined and separately (HBE Hematoma)
- Gated fuzz (Malekko B:ASSMASTER)
- Reverb (EBS Dynaverb)
- Delay (Malekko Ekko 616)
- Wah (Ibanez weeping demon)

Thankful for any input!

I use a Boss ME20B that covers most all of those requirements, The ME50B May cover them all...

What's "not too expensive"? For just around $200, the Zoom B3n would do in a pinch - some of the sounds are great and some aren't, but it's up to you to decide if any of the fuzzes can cop a Bassmaster tone - I didn't find one that did it for me.

For around $600 (not sure what the Norway conversion would be) - the Line 6 HX Effects is likely the best sounding small multi effects out there right now. Like the B3n, you'd need to add an expression to get a usable wah - or you could drag along a Mini Crybaby or other small wah like the Plutoneium Chi Wah....The HX can do everything on your list, no problem.

The "not too expensive" part was a bit vague, I get that. In general, sound quality trumps cost. The HX Effects look interesting, indeed! I'll look into that a bit closer.

As a side-note, I do actually have the Plutoneum Chi Wah-Wah, and I bring that along to some fly-in gigs today. However, I'm not fully content with it. The biggest problem is that is does not shut off immediately when I remove my foot from it, there's always like an extra half-second of wah-tone in there.

I hear you about the Chi Wah delay - I got so used to it that I would just play and disengage the wah a 1/2 second before I needed it to stop. I got it years before Dunlop came out with the mini Bass wah, when the Chi Wah and the AMT were the only small options. Still a cool pedal, though.
