I am about to buy a new desktop PC, to use for recording and all of my home needs. I am trying to decide which Recording Interface to buy, before I order that computer.

Please help me with my interface decisions. Here is what I am aiming for so far:

  1. Windows 10 interface
  2. Minimum of 2 Mic/Instrument recording inputs (XLR-1/4” TRS)
  3. Preamps for those inputs
  4. Possibly with Phantom power support (although I have not used Phantom thus far)
  5. Ability to connect iOS devices (IPad, iPhone, etc.), in order to play audio through my monitor speakers
  6. Ability to use iOS devices as recording sources
  7. MIDI in and out, for Yamaha MO6 keyboard
  8. USB or Firewire connection to PC
  9. DAW: something simpler than Pro Tools (I’ve spent too much time on the Pro Tools learning curve in the past, and my recording needs are modest: 1) Record my practice, 2)record backing tracks and 3)record up to 2 signals simultaneously.)
Finding an interface that will do the basics AND send audio from my iPad/iPhone through my speakers, and into the DAW, seems to be the most challenging requirement.

I appreciate any advice and assistance.

Here is an interface that seems to have everything I want. Does anyone have experience with the iConnectivity iConnectAUDIO4+ ?
