Refinishing an old Charvel

I was asked to refinish this old Charvel bass guitar. It was originally red, but it was stripped to natural and the owner prefers the electric blue which was not offered apparently in 1986. Pretty unique item they only offered a humbucker pick up on the 1B model 1986 only.

Yes the humbuckers were only offered on the 1b. You could get them with h or p only.

Finally got this guy finished and put together surprisingly sounds really cool. Never thought a humbucker with coil tap would work in a bass guitar but then again I don’t really know a lot about everybody’s bass guitar sounding preferences.
