I am a big fan of Gecko basses and have recently decided to overhaul my collection.
My plan was to raise the grain on these bodies- apply a dye - and seal with some subtle flake finish .
My understanding is was that the bodies were alder (MM 5 string) and swamp Ash (dual soapbar 6) but it looks like they are both Ash?!
I've searched threads related to dyeburst finishes and glitter/flake but haven't seem them combined.
What does the TB hive mind think of these bodies?
For colors I wanted to do green burst (MM) and purple burst (6)
