Removing pre-amp help

Hi. I'm hoping someone can help.

Just got my hands on a gwb35 but really dont like ibanez pre-amp that's in it (very noisy) and wanted to see what it sounded like as a passive bass.

I found the wiring diagram but am unsure how I would rewire this/what to remove to make it passive and hoping someone can help

If you unplugged the battery (A1, A2) and then unplugged C5 and plugged it into whichever of A1 and A2 is the positive, it might work.

A1 and A2 is the battery connections. Why would you connect audio output to the battery power input of the circuit?

Desolder the C5 yellow wire from the volume pot and solder a new wire here. Desolder the white wire (A5) from the output jack and solder your new wire (from volume pot) here.
